OUR VISION
Keeping the Fire of the Gospel Burning on the Altar of Every Heart
THEIOS DIVINUS ALTAR CHURCH (TDAC) exists to keep the fire of the salvation Gospel of Jesus Christ burning continually upon the spiritual altars of people's hearts throughout the world. We are committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ, reaching the nations with the Gospel, and faithfully proclaiming the original doctrine taught by our Lord Jesus Christ and His apostles.
Our vision is rooted in the conviction that the Gospel is the power of God for salvation, transformation, reconciliation, and the restoration of humanity to a right relationship with God. We desire to see hearts awakened to the truth of God's Word, lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, believers established in sound doctrine, and disciples equipped to carry the message of Christ to every nation and generation.
The fire upon the altar represents our continuing commitment to preserve the proclamation of the Gospel, nurture genuine faith in the hearts of believers, and ensure that the message of salvation remains alive in our worship, teaching, evangelism, discipleship, and mission.
As a ministry, we do not consider the Great Commission merely an instruction to be remembered; we receive it as a divine mandate to be obeyed. We therefore seek to raise committed disciples, establish spiritually mature congregations, equip faithful ministers, plant churches, and support the proclamation of Jesus Christ across cultural, geographical, and national boundaries.
Our vision is not limited to Uganda. It is a worldwide mission inspired by the purposes of God and grounded in the command of Jesus Christ to take the Gospel into all the world.
Our vision is to keep the fire of the salvation Gospel burning in every heart, make disciples of all nations, and preserve the apostolic truth of Jesus Christ for the glory of God.
1. EVANGELISM — TAKING THE GOSPEL BEYOND THE FOUR WALLS
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15
Evangelism is one of the foundational pillars of THEIOS DIVINUS ALTAR CHURCH. We believe that the Gospel was never intended to remain confined within the four walls of a church building. It is a message of salvation that must be carried into communities, homes, streets, schools, workplaces, villages, cities, and nations.
In obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ in Mark 16:15, we are committed to proclaiming the Gospel to every person and making the saving message of Christ known wherever God opens a door for ministry.
We place strong emphasis on personal evangelism, encouraging every believer to become a faithful witness of Jesus Christ through words, conduct, compassion, and a life that reflects the transforming grace of God.
Beyond individual witnessing, we pursue a wide variety of evangelistic outreaches designed to reach people in different settings and circumstances. Through community outreach, public preaching, personal testimony, missions, and other Gospel-centred initiatives, we seek to bring the message of salvation to those who have not yet come to know Jesus Christ.
We believe that every believer has a responsibility to participate in the mission of the Gospel according to the gifts, opportunities, and calling God has entrusted to them.
Our desire is that no geographical boundary, cultural barrier, or social circumstance should become an excuse for neglecting the Great Commission. We seek to carry the message of Christ beyond the church premises and into the everyday lives of people, so that they may hear the truth, encounter the love of God, and have an opportunity to respond to the Gospel.
Our commitment: To take the Gospel beyond the four walls, strengthen personal evangelism, and mobilize believers for faithful witness wherever people are found.
Biblical foundation: Mark 16:15; Matthew 5:14–16; Romans 1:16; Romans 10:13–15.
2. CONVERSION — WITNESSING FOR GENUINE REPENTANCE AND TRANSFORMED LIVES
“Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.” — 1 Peter 1:23
At THEIOS DIVINUS ALTAR CHURCH, our evangelistic mission is directed toward more than the delivery of a message. We witness, testify, and preach with the earnest desire that people will hear the Gospel, understand its truth, respond in faith, and experience genuine conversion through the saving work of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Gospel possesses the power to save, renew, and transform lives. Through the proclamation of God's Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit, people are called to repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and the new life that comes through being born again.
Conversion is not simply a change of religious association or outward behaviour. It involves a personal response to the truth of God, a turning away from sin, and the beginning of a transformed life under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
The apostle Peter teaches that the new birth comes through the incorruptible seed of the living and abiding Word of God. This truth reminds us that genuine spiritual transformation is grounded in God's eternal Word rather than in human persuasion, temporary emotion, or outward religious performance.
We therefore proclaim Christ with faith, compassion, clarity, and conviction, trusting God to work in the hearts of those who hear the message.
We also rejoice in the testimony of our congregation, whose greater part consists of people who have been converted here through the power of God. Their lives bear witness to our conviction that the Gospel is able to reach people where they are, bring them to Christ, and establish them in a new walk of faith.
Every testimony of conversion reminds us that our labour in the Gospel is not in vain and encourages us to continue preaching Jesus Christ with renewed commitment.
Our commitment: To preach for a meaningful response to the Gospel, encourage genuine repentance and faith, and nurture those who have experienced the transforming power of God.
Biblical foundation: 1 Peter 1:23; John 3:3–8; Acts 2:37–41; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 10:9–13.
3. THE LOCAL CHURCH — GOD'S ORDAINED SETTING FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND SERVICE
“The church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” — Ephesians 1:22–23
We believe that God has established the local church as a vital setting in which His people can grow in faith, receive spiritual instruction, develop their gifts, serve one another, and participate in the fulfilment of His purposes.
According to Ephesians 1:22–23, the Church is the Body of Christ, with Jesus Christ Himself as its Head. The Church belongs to Him and exists to express His life, reflect His character, proclaim His Gospel, and carry out His mission in the world.
We believe that God has placed within the life of the local church essential opportunities and provisions for accomplishing His will among His people. Through biblical teaching, prayer, worship, fellowship, pastoral care, discipleship, ministry, and mutual encouragement, believers are strengthened and equipped for Christian living and service.
The local church is more than a place to attend services. It is a spiritual community in which believers are called to connect, belong, participate, grow, and commit themselves to the work of Christ.
We therefore encourage every believer to establish a meaningful relationship with a local church where the Word of God is taught faithfully, Christ is honoured, the Holy Spirit's work is welcomed in accordance with Scripture, and believers are equipped for lives of holiness and service.
We believe that God's purposes are accomplished in us and through us as we faithfully connect and commit ourselves to the life and mission of a local congregation. Through this shared commitment, believers can exercise their gifts, support one another, bear one another's burdens, and work together in advancing the Gospel.
At THEIOS DIVINUS ALTAR CHURCH, we seek to cultivate a church community where people are not merely gathered but are grounded in Christ, nurtured in faith, strengthened in fellowship, and released into meaningful Christian service.
Our commitment: To build spiritually healthy local congregations where believers are rooted in God's Word, united in Christ, equipped for service, and committed to fulfilling God's purposes together.
Biblical foundation: Ephesians 1:22–23; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:11–16; Hebrews 10:24–25.
4. DISCIPLESHIP — MAKING AND EQUIPPING FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.” — Matthew 28:19
We believe that God's calling upon His people is not fulfilled merely by inviting people to come to Christ. Those who respond to the Gospel must also be taught, nurtured, equipped, and prepared to follow Jesus faithfully throughout their lives.
Discipleship is therefore central to the mission of THEIOS DIVINUS ALTAR CHURCH. We understand it as the ongoing process of helping believers grow in their knowledge of Christ, understand the teachings of Scripture, develop godly character, discover their spiritual gifts, and become effective participants in the work of the Kingdom of God.
We believe that the local church has a vital responsibility to provide the biblical instruction, spiritual guidance, fellowship, accountability, and ministry opportunities through which disciples can mature in faith and become equipped for service.
Consequently, we regard obedience to the Great Commission as one of the highest responsibilities entrusted to both pastors and congregations. Every leader and every local church must take seriously the command of Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations.
In Matthew 28:19–20, our Lord commands:
«“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.»
This command reveals that the mission of the Church includes evangelizing the nations, baptizing those who become disciples, and teaching believers to obey everything Christ has commanded.
We therefore seek to establish a culture of discipleship in which new believers are helped to grow in the faith, mature Christians are equipped to serve, and faithful disciples are prepared to help others follow Jesus.
Our vision is to raise believers who do not merely hear the Word but practise it; who do not merely receive ministry but also serve; and who do not merely become disciples but are equipped to participate in making disciples of others.
Through biblical teaching, practical ministry, spiritual formation, mentorship, and faithful service, we seek to prepare disciples who can carry the Gospel into their families, communities, workplaces, and nations.
Our commitment: To obey the Great Commission by making disciples, baptizing believers, teaching the commandments of Christ, and equipping Christians for lifelong faithfulness and service.
Biblical foundation: Matthew 28:18–20; Luke 6:40; 2 Timothy 2:2; Ephesians 4:11–13; Colossians 1:28–29.
5. CHURCH PLANTING — RAISING, RELEASING, AND SENDING LABOURERS INTO THE HARVEST
“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” — Matthew 9:37
We believe that one of the important fruits of effective discipleship is the raising up of faithful, spiritually mature, and adequately equipped workers who can be released into the harvest field to proclaim the Gospel and establish new congregations.
Jesus Christ taught His disciples that the harvest was plentiful but the labourers were few. He therefore instructed them to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.
At THEIOS DIVINUS ALTAR CHURCH, we receive this teaching as a continuing call to prayer, preparation, and mission. We recognize that the work of the Gospel requires more than a desire to preach; it requires spiritual maturity, sound biblical teaching, godly character, faithful preparation, and a willingness to serve wherever God calls.
We therefore seek to train and equip Holy Spirit-empowered preachers and ministers who are grounded in the Word of God and committed to the doctrine and mission of Jesus Christ and His apostles.
Our purpose is not simply to gather people into existing congregations but also to prepare faithful workers who can be sent to establish new congregations in areas where the Gospel needs to be proclaimed and disciples need to be nurtured.
Through church planting, we seek to reproduce the vision of the Great Commission in new locations, establishing communities of believers that worship God, teach His Word, make disciples, and reach their surrounding communities with the Gospel.
We understand church planting as an extension of the mission entrusted to the Church: to raise disciples, equip leaders, release workers, establish congregations, and continue the work of evangelism and discipleship in new areas.
We desire to see new congregations established under sound biblical teaching, led by faithful ministers, and committed to the same Christ-centred mission of salvation, discipleship, and world evangelism.
Our commitment: To pray for labourers, prepare and equip faithful ministers, send them into the harvest field, and establish new congregations that reproduce the vision and mission of the Great Commission.
Biblical foundation: Matthew 9:37–38; Acts 13:1–3; Acts 14:21–23; Romans 10:14–15; 2 Timothy 2:2.
6. WORLD EVANGELISM — REACHING EVERY NATION AND EVERY CULTURE
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15
From the earliest biblical records, God's purposes reveal His concern for the nations and His desire that His glory be known throughout the earth. We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message for all humanity and that the mission of the Church must extend beyond national, geographical, linguistic, and cultural boundaries.
The vision entrusted to THEIOS DIVINUS ALTAR CHURCH is therefore not merely a Ugandan vision. Although our ministry is rooted in its local context, we believe that the Gospel and the mission revealed through the teachings of Jesus Christ are God-given and relevant to people in every nation and culture of the world.
The command of Jesus in Mark 16:15 calls His followers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to every creature. Matthew 28:19 similarly commands the making of disciples among all nations. Together, these passages establish the universal scope of the Great Commission.
We believe that the saving message of Jesus Christ transcends cultural and national boundaries. Every community needs the opportunity to hear the Gospel, understand the truth of God's Word, and respond to the invitation of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Consequently, our responsibility as individual believers and as a local church extends beyond the people immediately around us. We are called to participate in God's worldwide mission through prayer, training, investment, sending, and supporting those who carry the Gospel into different parts of the world.
We seek to cultivate a mission-minded church that prepares believers for cross-cultural ministry, equips workers for evangelistic service, supports those who are sent, and partners in the establishment of Gospel-centred congregations wherever God opens doors.
World evangelism requires prayerful dependence upon God, the preparation of faithful workers, wise stewardship of resources, sacrificial generosity, and a willingness to send and support those who are called to serve beyond their familiar surroundings.
Our desire is to see the Gospel proclaimed faithfully, disciples raised among all peoples, and congregations established in diverse communities, all for the glory of God and the advancement of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Our commitment: To pray, train, invest, send, and support Gospel workers so that the message of Jesus Christ may reach all nations and people groups.
Biblical foundation: Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13–15; Revelation 7:9–10.
OUR VISION IN ACTION
At THEIOS DIVINUS ALTAR CHURCH, our vision moves from conviction to action. We seek to keep the fire of the Gospel burning through a continuing cycle of ministry:
EVANGELIZE → LEAD PEOPLE TO CHRIST → ESTABLISH BELIEVERS IN THE LOCAL CHURCH → MAKE DISCIPLES → EQUIP AND SEND WORKERS → PLANT CHURCHES → REACH THE NATIONS.
Each part of this mission strengthens the others. Evangelism brings the message of salvation to people; conversion reflects the life-transforming power of the Gospel; the local church nurtures believers; discipleship equips them for maturity and service; church planting extends the work into new communities; and world evangelism carries the message of Christ across the nations.
We believe that the Great Commission must remain at the heart of our ministry, guiding our priorities, shaping our programmes, and directing our resources toward the proclamation of the Gospel and the making of disciples.
Our prayer is that every heart reached by the Gospel will become a testimony of God's grace, every believer will grow into a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, every congregation will become a centre of spiritual growth and mission, and every worker will be equipped to serve wherever God calls.
THE FIRE MUST BE KEPT BURNING ON THE ALTAR
“A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.” — Leviticus 6:13
This Scripture expresses the enduring spiritual emphasis of our ministry. We are committed to keeping the fire of the salvation Gospel burning in the hearts of believers through faithful teaching, prayer, evangelism, discipleship, holiness, and service.
May the Gospel continue to be proclaimed, may disciples continue to be made, may faithful labourers continue to be raised and sent, and may the light of Jesus Christ reach people throughout the world.
